Dargon King Autumn Leaf Katana
The ginkgo leaf carries a long history as a symbol of longevity and duality in Japanese culture, themes reflected throughout this katana's design. A blackened moon-shaped stainless steel tsuba is silhouetted with falling ginkgo leaves, while grasshopper and cricket menuki (handle ornaments) reference good fortune.
This Dragon King katana features a through-hardened 5160 carbon steel blade with a 1 1/2" kissaki, geometry suited for cutting practice on soft and semi-hard targets. The tan tsuka-ito (handle wrap) is double mekugi-pinned over a blackened fuchi and fuchi-kashira. The brown textured lacquered saya features a buffalo horn koiguchi and kurikata, finished with a black sageo.
