Kingston Arms Renaissance Sharp Side Sword

The Side Sword was a military weapon of the 16th and 17th century Renaissance, prized among soldiers and civilians alike for its light weight and speed. Unlike the rapier, its blade geometry allows for effective cutting as well as thrusting.

This Kingston Arms reproduction is based on an original German pattern and has been retooled to correct earlier grip-looseness issues, resulting in a tighter, more refined fit and finish. The blade performs well in both cut and thrust, and the swept hilt provides substantial hand protection.
