Plate and chainmail are only as comfortable as what you wear underneath them, and the Arthur Canvas Gambeson Set is built to solve exactly that problem. This modular set includes a padded vest, matching sleeves, and tassets, worn together or separately depending on what your armor needs.

A tall collar keeps things comfortable around the neck, and the padding is stitched in a diamond pattern that holds its shape and moves with you rather than bunching up. Four buckled straps secure the front of the vest, while metal eyelets around the arm holes and hem let you attach the included sleeves and tassets for extra coverage when you need it.

This set is designed as a comfort and rub-prevention layer worn under plate armor or chainmail, not for sparring or full-contact combat use, and shouldn't be treated as protective sparring gear.

Fit Note

Runs true to size through the body, but sleeves have been reported to run short; if your arms are long relative to your torso size, consider this before ordering, or plan for a cuff extension if the sleeve length falls short.
