Mytholon Kaspar Burgonet Helmet
The Kaspar Burgonet Helmet is a steel helmet based on 16th and 17th century riding helmets, worn by Renaissance cavalry and pikemen alike. It has a tall, rounded crest, a fixed brow peak that shields the face from above, and hinged cheek flaps with small punched holes to let you hear.
A slight tail at the back of the helmet protects the neck, and an adjustable leather strap with a buckle holds it secure under the chin. For the best comfort and fit, wear it over a padded arming cap.
Choose between two finishes. The Polished Steel version has a bare steel finish. The Blackened version is treated with an electrochemical process that protects the steel from rust, with unblackened steel left on the edges for contrast.
This helmet is handmade and can run thicker than listed. It is intended mainly for costuming, light reenactment, and LARP, not for sparring or contact use. Unisex, adult one size.
