Dragon King Sea Wave Wakizashi

The Sea Wave series draws on the duality of the ocean; calm and turbulent, fleeting and eternal, themes reflected in both the blade and fittings of this wakizashi. The blade is forged and folded steel with a bo-hi (fuller groove), showing visible hada (grain pattern) and hamon that echo the wave motifs carried through the tsuba, kashira, and fuchi.

Silver and gold menuki sit against a dark blue tsuka-ito handle wrap over white same (ray skin). The blue lacquered saya is finished with buffalo horn kurikata and koiguchi, and a matching blue sageo.
