Dragon King Summer Lotus Katana

Continuing Dragon King's seasonal katana series, the Summer Lotus draws on water garden imagery to reflect the fullness of the season. The tsuba depicts a lotus flower and tree motif, echoed in snail and frog menuki (handle ornaments), both traditional symbols of fertility and good fortune.

The blackened tsuba, fuchi, and tsuka-ito (handle wrap) contrast against a real white same (ray skin) handle beneath, with notched seppa spacers and a silver habaki (blade collar). The 5160 forged carbon steel blade carries a 1 1/2" kissaki and cutting-capable geometry for soft and semi-hard targets. The saya is finished in a green textured lacquer.
