Hanwei Paul Chen Bearded Axe - Antiqued

The Bearded Axe, Antiqued from Paul Chen / Hanwei is a faithful recreation of a classic Viking-age axe pattern, named for the extended lower edge, or "beard," that allowed for hooking, disarming, and controlled cutting in addition to standard chopping strikes. This design was widely used across Scandinavia and Northern Europe during the Viking era.

Built with a steel head and tempered edge on a hardwood shaft, this axe is substantial enough to deliver real cutting force, whether used for cutting practice, historical demonstration, or display. The antiqued finish gives it a weathered, battle worn appearance true to the period.
