Zeughaus Polished Steel Jack Chains

The Polished Steel Jack Chains are a lightweight arm defense made from linked steel plates, worn tied to a gambeson or padded jack. They are handcrafted from 16-gauge mild steel with a polished finish.

The design uses four plates joined by rings. Two straight plates have fluting down the center and rounded ends, and two round plates sit at the shoulder and elbow. Holes in the plates let you tie the chains to your gambeson. The style is inspired by historical jack chains, a plated arm defense associated with infantry and archers.

These are a reenactment and display piece. They are not rated as protective gear for HEMA sparring or other contact use.

Adult one size, suitable for men and women.
